Raymond J. Dale, 79, of Willmar, formerly of Spicer, died January 10, 2024, in Ft. Myers, Florida, from injuries suffered in a car accident.
His memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 29, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar with a 9:00 a.m. rosary service and visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The service will also be streamed at https://www.ourlivingwater.org/raydale.html. At Ray's request, please dress in casual attire including jeans and t-shirts. Raymond Joseph Dale was born May 27, 1944, in Appleton, Minnesota, to William and Josephine (Unzen) Dale. He was raised on a farm near Bellingham, Minnesota, and attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Rosen and Bellingham High School. Ray served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. After his discharge, he worked as a human service technician at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center until his retirement in 2002.
He married Geraldine "Geri" Miller on September 19, 1981, and they had one daughter, Jessica. They lived in Spicer and wintered in Florida and moved to Willmar in 2020.
Ray loved riding his motorcycle, playing cribbage, doing latch hook, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Geri; daughter, Jessica (Edwin Guerra); siblings, Larry, Mary (Ray) Peterson, Joe (Jane), and Ed; Geri's family; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John, Charlie, Rose Strei, Kathy Dale, Darrell, Bill, and Dave.
