Kevin Paul Peterson was born June 19, 1957, to Charles and Darlene (Swenson) Peterson in Frankfurt, Germany while his dad was serving in the U.S. Army. He was baptized and later confirmed at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake. Kevin graduated from New London High School in 1975. Kevin grew up on the family dairy farm on the north side of Games Lake. During his early adult years, Kevin thoroughly enjoyed working with Barney Edman and going to Twins games with him. A few years after his father’s tragic passing, the family decided to sell the farm. After selling the farm, he worked for his older brother Bruce for 18 years. He also worked for Paul Cappelen as a carpenter for 10 years.
Kevin enjoyed spending time with his friends, water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, camping and fishing. He was notorious for being the first one out on the ice each winter.
Kevin is survived by his siblings: Bruce (Barb) Peterson of Canton, Ohio, Connie (Bob) Dickerson of Spicer, David (Donna) Peterson of Litchfield, Vernell (Roxanne) Peterson of Sacred Heart; “bonus step daughter”, Jill (Justin) Willprecht; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and special friend Denise Wohnoutka.
